I think I am very spoiled here in California. You know, like with having vegetables with meals, no smoking in restaurants and bars and toilet seat covers in public restrooms.
The very first time I ever experienced NOT having a toilet seat cover was in JFK airport in NYC. I thought I was going to flip out right then and there in the stall (lack of sleep notwithstanding). No toilet seat covers???? But but but what about germs and disease and things other people leave behind?? Ewwwwwww!!!!! Toilet paper lining the seat sufficed but still, ew. I mean, really, how many people actually take the time to do that?
I'm not really sure where I'm going with all this. I just arrived home from a very long last few days, only to be leaving again in 4 days for a work trip. I've already had a glass of wine and am about to pour myself another (two please!) I'm tired, tense (no thanks to the 6'5" man on the aisle seat next to me who managed to invade all of my space... the seat that didn't tilt back didn't help either), and just plain ready to sit at home in my pjs for a day or two. I started knitting a baby bobbi bear for a friend's baby but have gotten to the "turn your work upside down" part and am too discombobulated to figure it out right now.
I did have a very good weekend tho. Good friends were married in the most perfect of circumstances. I've been traveling (which I do love to do despite my grumblings) and made a few new friends. :)
But now I'm going to sleep. 'Night.
Is this your best friend that you were a bridesmaid for... the one who recently moved away? Glad to hear that they had a perfect wedding and that you were able to be there to be a part of it. I keep telling myself that weddings are fun, but they don't seem to be when you're in the midst of the planning and panicking.
Glad you're back!

Yep, the wedding was for my best friend that moved to OR in March and came back for the wedding here. It was fun even when tense at times. I'll post pics when I've collected enough to show. :)
