Here they are!
One completed pair of Sockapaloooza socks!
Pattern: Child's First Socks, Nancy Bush, Knitting Vintage Socks
Yarn: Lorna's Laces, Cranberry, Fingering weight
Tools: 0US Addi-Turbo 12" circular, 0US Addi-Turbo DPNs (5)
I actually finished them about 5 days ago but was waiting on a couple of things to send out with the socks. My pal noted "garden colors" in her questionaire so I ran with it in Red.
I found a somewhat decent postcard of my city (hard to find, lemme tell ya), printed a photog of the socks at the train station, included California red poppy seeds & a little note from me. :) Oh! And strawberry jam from winter. I hope she likes all of it and that the socks actually fit. They fit me and we have similarly sized feet.
And for my blogless friend Jenn, check her socks AND her sock pal's reaction at receiving her socks! I am so proud of Jenn! Not only was this her 1st time to participate in Sockapaloooza but her 1st full fledged pair of socks! Patterned and everything. I stuck to boring stockinette socks for months before attempting patterns. You did awesome, Jenn! :D You can find the pattern Jenn used here and the yarn is Lorna's Laces in Grape (no thanks necessary for introducing you to the world of expensive handpainted sock yarn, Jenn! The pleasure was all mine.) :)
Nice work, Kim!

I think she'll love the package, especially the socks. They're beautiful!

I love the socks - and the homemade jam is such a nice touch! I should do this 'next time'. :)
